I have great crew!

The title says it all. Mike and steph are out there every race ready to go and always give it their all! We are getting faster and faster and most of that is due to them.

Wednesay night we had another great evening race. Wind was about 8 and a little shifty but it made it fun. Our start was okay but bigger faster boats quickly walked over us. But then the wind let up some and our larger headsail brought us roaring back! We ended up with another first and in the process got to mix it up with some faster boats. It was tons of fun

New Boat Treating us well!

Well, this is kinda a slow time of the year, we are still doing Wednesday night races up at Hefner every week.
Turns out the new boat is pretty quick! We have won every evening we have raced except one where we switched around some crew and I am not sure if I should accredit the lose to my trimming or Mike's driving but we didn't win that night. Other than that our record is flawless.

Next big thing we have coming up is the Wunderlick regatta on Texoma. It is the overnight race which we won last year. Lets hope this year goes as well.

Where it begins!

As the first post on the new S20 blog I must mention the loss of The Dirty Glass. She was a great boat and treated us so well! We learned an incredible amount on her.

But on May 10th a force 4 tornado destroyed her and hundreds of other boats at Lake Thunderbird.
She was totaled after being thrown 50 yards across the yard and into a telephone pole. Here is her resting place after the storm!

But from the ashes rises the new S20 that my insurance company bought me. She is hull #352 and was previously owned by Bob Heaslet who then sold it to Wayne Lewis and then I bought it from him. As you will see from the picture she is all blue with a dark bottom. There are a few little things that need some work but all together she is a great boat. She is rigged really well and ready to go win races. That has already been proven in some of the Wednesday night races at Hefner and also the Lighthouse Regatta where we took 2 bullets and took second over all beating Brit Williams (my goal for two years).

This is just the beginning! When I bought the Dirty Glass I said I wanted to create a winning racing program. Well here we are almost three years later and we now are one of the quicker boats around! Sure Brit and IV are fast and can beat us but we are getting really close!

So save this link, follow our progress and enjoy reading about the new boat called Arrested Development!
